Embarking dwarfs with quite large kill lists
« on: April 08, 2010, 05:25:23 am »

Seems all my dwarfs I just embarked with (using "Play now!") have over 100 kills each, with one having 424 kills to her name, half of which are elves. Anybody else gotten war heroes in their embarking groups?

This only seems to happen if you "Embark Now", nothing of the sort occurs for me when I plan out the skills etc. It probably creates new Dwarves to your specs when planning, and just grabs them from the nearby settlements when instant-embarking =P

What needs to be done is to note all the names of the dwarves, then abandon and check legends to see their lives before going to the glorious fortress.

Then, you check the migrants. If the Play Now dwarves are not random generated, could it be that the migrants are also pulled from their own settlements?

do they have skills? because that means play now! is better than prepare carefully, due to the fact you can get high masters in crap.

When I did "Play Now" in the old version, I got [nothing] [skill] dwarves. I also did "Play Now" on this version, but no dwarves with kill list, and then they were randomly generated as well.
