Playing as another race
« on: April 07, 2010, 02:33:01 am »

I am most interested in playing as humans....simply because when I make an above ground castle I hate playing as dwarfs....feels very...hypocritical lol.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried it or if anyone knows what things need to be copy/pasted in the raws to make humans fully playable (in the 40d version there were a few things like trap components that humans didn't have)

I do not mod...I only understand it on a fairly basic level and can do some tweaking but not much else. I simply ask just in case someone out there that is better than I at this has taken the time to try it

Go to entity_default in the raws.

Cut [CIV_CONTROLLABLE] from the dwarves and add it to the Humans.

Tested, and it works. I also cut/paste all the noble positions too though.

I believe you still need to add the trap components to whatever race you want as well.

If I recall you also need to add in some reactions, and also copy the dwarven castes over, as if I remember correctly the other races don't have any except for generic military positions.

Reactions that need to be added:
