Etur watched and wished he could directly affect the actions of the dwarves. They were digging carelessly into the mountains following veins of gold and platinum in order to produce valuable trade goods. after almost a season of chasing the veins' one of the dwarves fell over with glee. Within in his hands he held a small stone worth more to the dwarves than any other trade good imaginable. He began to run and scream through the fortress yelling that he had found it, adamantium. Other dwarves quickly began to run to the mines and scream that he had found the most valuable of metals. It appears Etur did too well of a job, they were mining adamantium at an alarming rate drawing nearer and nearer to a danger that had been covered up for centuries. Demons from hell quickly poured out of the opening, burning the miners before they could raise a warning. The halls of the mountainhome Uthargeshud quickley errupted in flame.

So i was totally unprepared for the new way that the HFS worked. I figured i would be able to safely mine the adamant and then wall up any parts of the caverns where the pits were. I was totally unprepared for the wave of flying!! demons. anyways, i'm going to learn this version a little better before i try another community fortress so it doesnt end in epic failure like this one.anyways just remember Loosing is fun!
