Elves are awesome.

They brought me a pair of mating grizzlies, black bears, wolves, and giant eagles. Plus around 5 years worth of food and booze.

I'll just sick my 10 wolf pups, 3 eagle chicks, and bears on you. I don't love them, but they won't get magma on there heads for a few years now.

Yes, it is possable to buy a  caged elf from the elves.

I just got breeding pairs of black bears, grizzly bears, giant eagles, deer, warthogs, cougars, jaguars, and wolves. They also brought 500 units of aboveground liquors, and 8 pages of wood.

I do love the elves so much more now. They always bring me the most wood and I've obtained mating bears and cougars from them.
They bring plenty of booze too.

I even use their cloth on occasion so I can sell it right back to them in craft form.

Maybe its a ploy by Toady in order to win us over to the elven side. ...the dark side. Next we know we'll have an elf leading our fortresses. Starting out with two elves and 5 dwarves...Then Dwarf Wars, Staring Urist McOldman As Obi Wan, Urist Mctraitorelf as Anikan ect. "Urist...I am  your father" "NO!!!!!" I can't be part elf!!! Coming next June to a computer near you.

But that elf is literally a dwarf, I'm talking about fully fledged cannibals happily embarking with our dwarves, making sure they only use "proper" wood cutting techniques ect.

Actually I had a human caravan arrive about a week after my elven one. I just traded the seized goods that were still in the depo for all of there food and booze. Was actually fairly handy.
