Yep. I had to set up a flooding system to periodically wash the well area clean and flush the blood/vomit/etc down into a cavern.

We're going to either need bathing zones, or washtubs.

Ooh. Both as one. Washtub sets up a bathroom zone, and can be assigned to someone. And when Toady fixes the dwarves using other dwarves property bug, that will actually work. I may put that in suggestions tonight.

If we have washtubs, either the grime magically disappears or it drains into a cesspit.

The former does nothing while the latter is a good place for an elven trading depot.

I would prefer 'water source' activity zones tweaked to add 'bathing area' zones, where dwarves use surface water to wash up. Bath-house, anyone?
