[31.01] I am unable to save any data.

I've tried versions downloaded off of three different mirrors, including the link from bay12games and MikeMayday's newest package. I've tried turning off save compression in the init file, because according to the init file that feature occasionally causes save corruption. No matter what I do, I am unable to save any game data. This includes worlds, fortresses, embark profiles, and key bindings.

Has anyone else had this problem? What exactly is my problem? Is there a solution?

Did you decompress DF into a folder, or are you running it out of the zip file?  You need to fully decompress and extract it in order to save anything.
