The goblin choice for dealing with the old man is to leave him alone (to kill later)??  For a race you describe as ready to kill any time for no reason?  Pretty sure the goblin answer should be some sort of unspeakable act involving the old man and his cane.

Also, for the goblin answer to the pie question:  Pretty sure if you reduce glass to powder, you have relatively harmless sand.  You want glass shards, not powder.

Vague googling says you're close to right, more or less. Glass dust can apparently be fatal over a period of exposure if inhaled (a relatively short period if there's enough of it, it seem), but glass small enough to not be noticed when you're eating something -- and you can definitely detect something as small as actual sand when you eat, so it's gotta' be pretty bloody small -- isn't going to do terribly much to your innards, at least not in the amount you could fit in a single pie. Even a really big pie, but I'd imagine the pie is only relatively normal in size, or the pie-maker would have noticed the kid staggering out under the giant bit o'bakery.

Dunno' about it being sand, per se, though. Would probably depend on what you used to make the glass, I guess. Apparently you could use plain ol' beach sand, but there's better materials for it, or something.

B powdered glass I meant glas broken small enough to look like owder while still being sharp. Enough to scratch around in his innards for a while. Not so much deadly as extremely mean.

I have been upgraded to human, with just a touch of elf and dwarf.  Selling the horse for profit sounds good to me.
