[0.31.1] eye teeth !
« on: April 03, 2010, 05:11:13 pm »

One of my embark dogs got mauled by a grimeling and lost his left and right eye teeth.
I noticed these lying on the battleground earlier...a nr8 back teeth IIRC.

I've seen this creature template bug mentioned elsewhere, for another creature, but couldnt find it anymore.
So lets gather strange limbs and such on default creatures here.

Eye teeth are your canine teeth. The sharp ones used to tear meat, you know?

its a pretty archaic term, at least in the US.  I don't think i've ever heard it used in a modern context.

Its not just any canines.  Its specifically upper canines.

It used to be that players of Dwarf Fortress got lots of unexpected education in geology.

With this new version, now we're going to also get lots of unexpected education in anatomy. :)

Dentists and orthodontists use it rather commonly.

Maybe there needs to be a topic pinned like the cat bug one telling everyone that eye teeth are real teeth.  ::)
