Dorfs wont plant?

I gathered some wild strawberries, I have an outside farm set to grow wild strawberries in every season, 2 No Job dorfs with Farming(Fields) and 9 wild strawberries, but they wont plant them. What do I do?

The dwarves need to eat the strawberries or make them into alcohol to get the seeds.

(This should probably be in gameplay questions, btw.)
