So yeah, if I'm making a resource that requires multiple items, and I run out of those items, it says I need ridiculous amounts of those items, e.g. 10000 plant fiber needed to make bags (yes, I'm getting this one too).

I can confirm this. It tells me I need 1000 threads to make a cloth.

This has been mentioned many, many times.
It means you need 10000 units of plant fiber cloth, or 1000 units of thread. Each item is worth many thousands of units. This new system means you can use up parts of items.
