In relation to what abbreviation to use, why not switch everything to full version numbers? That way you won't have issues distinguishing versions or have to worry about what abbreviation to use when future versions are released.

That or stop moaning and put up with DF2010...

There is a template {{AV}} made for just that purpose that is a place-and-forget kind of template.  But of course not EVERY page is already done.

It's a bot that's doing it. A buggy bot as well. It looks like people have already made a request to fix the links on the bot's page.
