Changing farming back?

People have said that changing farming back is easy by utilizing the tags in the plants raws (I've found these) But I'm not exactly sure which tag I need to add/remove. Thanks in advance (I posted in the other threads but no one answered me.)

Plant_standart.txt in the DF\Raw\Objects folder. Remove the [WET] tag and make sure there is a [DRY] tag. If that doesn't work, I sadly can't help you. You'll probably have to regenerate your world.
I, for my part, enjoy the fact that you have to irrigate underground plants now. Why don't you just switch to above ground plants like strawberries if it doesn't work?

Well, I like that the difficulty increases the farther you go down. Plus i dont like having to bring tons of food embark just because it takes a year to build a goddamn irrigation system. My above ground farms seem not to work either (Container bug I think = / )

What I've done is choose embarks that have temperate forest, which seems to guarantee some surface lakes/ponds.  I just drain them into my planned plot space and then wall them back up.

Can't do that on every embark, though.  I had a sweet volcano embark without any forest/grassland, it shouldn't have let me embark there in the first place now that I think about it, but it did.  Anyways, the only water I could find was almost 100 z-levels down.  By the time I found it it was too late to keep everybody from starving to death. :)

Raws from the old version have the [wet][dry] tags for subterranean plants too and it doesn't prevent planting so while that might be a workaround it wouldn't appear to be the actual problem.

Another tactic is to dig deep and fast, hoping to find an underground cavern (with muddy soil) before you run out of things to eat and drink. It's a good idea to pack extra plump helmets if you choose this tactic, of course.

I've just been going down two or more layers and channeling out the area above where I'm building my farm plots.  I leave walkways all around the holes and designate them as ponds so the bucket brigade of loafing idlers fills them up.  They only need 1/7 of water to have a dusting of mud and it has worked so far both on soil floors and on stone floors.  I even finished two six tile plots in a hot environment before the pools evaporated by making this first priority for the fort.  If you have a nice brook then you are set.

wait... a year? Have you lost your mind? I build mine in the first few months at the same time I build my first well o_O

I did the same thing, except with multiple layers. The pond drained into the north side of the top farm, which had a chute at the south end that led to the next farm, and so on.

Or just have a bucket brigade and some airholes (at the sides of your intended farming plot, not over the farming plot itself), leading to that conveniently located murky pool. This should take one season or two, even if you are very greedy concerning the size of your intended farming plot.
