Underground creatures not available in arena [SPOILERS]

Why do all the new underground creatures have the [ARENARESTRICTED] (or something like that) tag?

Wasn't the arena meant to test out new creatures and such which would be hard to find in the wild?

Maybe Toady doesn't want to spoiler any creature you might come up against? Anyway, you can easily remove the tag and pit chinchilla monsters versus giant ppurring maggots. Or whatever.
