Burrow - Jitsu

Anyone here managed to get something done using the new Burrows system? How is it working out for you? I'm looking forward to making production colonies/forward outpost in the new cavern features in my current embark and i don't know if thats feasible.

Haven't even TRIED to get to get that up and running. I'm making a dwarven city on a half-desert half-swamp map aboveground. When it rains, the dwarves melt, so I guess the only thing I have done is make an alert that forces them in their homes and off the streets, running from acid rain.

It's actually quite funny to see a store-owner whose stuck out in the rain not make it and just Melt.

So the new versions dwarves are soluble in some instances? Thats hilarious! Almost as good as the sleeping=death bug back in the day :D .

The burrows saved my ass when I ordered all my civilians to a safe area while my soldiers fought against an underground beast.

As far as I can gather, there's a bug regarding temperature and the rain became superheated, vaporizing your dwarfs (and presumably everything on the surface).

One of the toads decided to go for a swim in the moat - presumably because he could path through the moat to my dwarves. He is not charging in, just loitering in the moat.

The toad is having a nice relaxing swim.
The goblin mounted on his back, however, is drowning.

As far as I can tell it's actually a bug regarding how hard I laugh at it everytime it happens without warning.
