How can I see which metal bars I have?

Hey, I have a stockpile full of bins filled with metal bars. Is there any way to see what is in there and how many bars?

The only practical way is from the stocks menu. Get a bookkeeper who's operating at a decent level of accuracy, then press z > select stocks > scroll to "bars."

Thanks, after setting up a dedicated bookkeeper with his own office, I finally got the numbers right. That was exactly what I was looking for :)

I think it also counts any object used in structures like workshops, walls, and floors.

But if you press tab they'll be color-coded so you can tell if they're used in a construction or something.
