In for STALKER.
I'm not really good at scary, so try to imagine you're feeling really nervous and the drawing just appears out of nowhere and tells you that you have a test tomorrow.

A rope walks into a bar. The bartender yells, "We don't serve your kind here!"
The rope walks outside. He quickly tousles his hair and tangles himself. Then he walks back into the bar.
The bartender looks at him with suspicion. "Aren't you that rope that was just in here?"
"I'm a frayed knot."

It's dark and hot tonight. Your body spread across the bed in an attempt to find a position worth sleeping in. Your window closed to keep the mosquitos on the right side of the glass.
Why are you still awake? It must be two in the morning by now. Are you waiting for something? Is the heat just that bad? It's only spring. It'll get hotter.
Do you feel that?
That feeling at the back of your mind?
That feeling that something is watching you?
It's silly, of course, but did you close your door? Did you lock it? Can you hear anyone?
Go on, stop breathing. Then you'll know if somebody's there.
…
See.
Not a sound.
But what is that feeling. Why is it so potent that you can't even bring yourself to open your eyes? Do you fear the dark? Are you still afraid that something lives under your bed or in your closet? Don't be afraid. You're hanging a foot of the edge of your bed and nothing has grabbed it. Nothing has wrapped it's cold fingers around your ankle and pulled, breaking your leg at the knee. That's silly.
Your silly.
But what is this?
A draft?
You shut the window didn't you? You couldn't hear the sounds that would normally come from outside. It's blowing in from under your door, surely. Turn around and have a look. Check for yourself.
You're tired, of course. Always an excuse.
It is rather annoying, no? Yet it is refreshing. Maybe you don't want the draft to go away?
Did you feel that? The feeling just got worse. It feels like someone's resting an ice pack just below your right ear. You feel like somebody's leaning down and holding their face just above your ear. You can't hear breathing but what if that little bit of paranoia is right? You can't react. They'd know you know. You have to keep your breathing steady.
Stay calm.
Don't react.
Did you feel that?
It got closer. Did your expression change? You can't help it, it feels so real. Did they see that? What would they do if-
This is stupid.
There's nothing there. You're skirting the edge between the waking world and the dream and your mind is playing tricks. There's nothing on the other side of your eyelids. Nothing but the usual.
This is it.
You need to get some sleep. You open your eyes and see nothing. It's completely black. You closed your blinds to help you sleep. You roll over to check the other side, it's dark too.
This is stupid, there's nothing there.
You know that.
I know that.
Because I'm right here beside you.
And I know you're awake.
Your door is unlocked, by the way.

I just noticed I'm not in the spoiler yet as one of the people trying for stalker, so repeating the entry in case it was overlooked.  Stories are still allowable entries, right?

Oooh.  I'd like to compete for Stalker.

But I cannot draw worth anything.  So I offer a piece of fiction, newly written by me just now.

I am proud of my daughter.

At first today she was nothing but trouble.  She cried and screamed and kicked her shoes off so hard the left one flew across the room and broke my lamp.

I had to hold my breath before I could count to ten.  Hold my breath and shush her, hold her and calm her and make sure that she wouldn't do something worse when I went to get her shoes, went to unplug the lamp so the broken bulb couldn't spark and set my room afire.

Then I counted to ten, over and over as I cleaned up the broken bulb, the broken glass shade, and wiped every speck of glass shard off first her left shoe, then the right.  Placed them then, so nice, so neat, beside her and ready for when it was time to go outside again.

She didn't thank me.  She was still in the throes of her last sobs, still drumming her heels against the floor in a terrific tantrum.  Sometimes my daughter seems more like a terrible two than the twenty-something adult I know she is.

She was so scared and embarrassed that I sat down beside her shoes and waited for a moment, holding my breath again in sympathy and sorrow as she started to relax.  I reached out to brush her damp hair from her forehead, but had to stop as she opened her mouth so wide, so very wide.

Sure she wasn't going to start screaming again, but what was she doing; was my darling girl trying to bite me?  She was, she really was.  So I let her, faster than she could bite I pushed the side of my wrist into her mouth.   My wrist was deeper than she'd have wanted for biting, and I pushed it a bit further until her eyes went wider, her lips stretched by her open mouth, her jaws gaped enough to gag her.

"Don't," I said.  "Just don't.  I want to be proud of you."  Then I took my wrist from her mouth.  The emotion in her eyes was weaker now, and she was struggling to sit up so I helped her.

"Good," I said.  "That's better.  Control yourself."  She shook her head, all of her shaking a bit as her body started to calm.  "Better,"  I said, again brushing her damp hair from her forehead.  This time she didn't mind, merely curled against my side, her head turning as if for a moment she still wanted to bite me but her lips staying closed.  "Perfect," I said.

I felt so proud as I watched her conquer her fear and rage and hope and hatred, as her eyes grew steady and her body stilled.  So proud of my precious girl and her commitment to me, her power over emotion and life.

I couldn't hold my breath as long as her now, but I tried.  When she was ready I helped put her shoes back on, then we stood up and went outside.

Her twenty three perfect sisters are waiting to join her, all as proud of her as I am.  Later, after I've slept and showered, it'll be time to bring the next one home.

If this tale is unclear (it's told from a specific viewpoint) I'll happily add an out of character explanation of what happened in the story.

Yeah, I edited that late at night. Don't worry, I read it. And reread it a moment ago.

Okay, time to get down to business.

STALKER: SoC... this was difficult. There were a lot of good entries here, and the two I narrowed it down to were close enough that if I had had $2.30 more left on my prepaid card I would have bought a second copy of it to gift. I don't, though, and I liked Imp's story just a tiny bit more than the runner-up's entry, so he/she wins it.

Naxza wins Homefront hands-down for being the only one to draw multiple seconds of laughter for that joke. It wasn't a pun per se, but it was far worse and far better.

Thank you SO much!  I absolutely loved Call of Pripyat and I've wanted to play the others very much.  Never thought I'd be able to say "I've got a Stalker," with so much delight!
