Swords & Guitar squads?

I found out a SUPERB advantage of sword and guitar squads... you can't accidentally shoot a liberal and alienate the masses!

Still, one problem I have with Guitar Squads is that they don't get juice (or so I heard), and I'm not sure if they influence the ISSUES. Can someone confirm this for me? Can't do much in my current game since all issues are 100% liberal.

Currently it's really easy to win the game with an AK-47 squad or sword squad. Just rampage in each location connected to non-green issues, and WALA, victory!

Guitar squads CAN influence the issues, but not by brute force - sleepers, vandalism, safe cracking and studio takeovers work well.

Oh, and you could alienate with guitars in a recent version (has been fixed I think) - your guitarists would HIT converted police officers (only them I think) instead of stopping playing, resulting in alienation of everyone.
