[40d17] Crashed when trading with Elves

Howdy.
Win7, 6gb ram, core i7-920, 9800gt

I went to bring goods to the depot for the elves and the game hanged forever when I tried to (s)elect goods. I typed in the word "roast" and the game was hanged forever.

Is this specific to a particular save, or a particular set of circumstances (e.g. typing in "roast"), or does it happen whenever you try to filter by string in the trade depot?

I haven't had the occasion to try it a second time, however, by posting this here the issue can be searched and tracked if anyone else encounters it. The next time I'll trade is when the Humans arrive--I won't risk crashing to unload the Elven garbage wagons.

I've just experienced the same lockup-forever behavior in the Stocks screen. The hang occurred right as I pressed PgDn to view the Thread\Webs listing. There are a lot of these in my fort, but this crash is new to 40d17. The same task took about 8 seconds in 40d16.

This is very very likely the same Null-pointer issue from the "Farm plot" crash post.
