Just checked Wiki, it's indeed 5'10" in USA. Where I live it's 6'1"  ;D

That's because European race is superior(as if there was just one, but them americans will believe everything). All hail the literally great European man!

Grrr! Let's turn this into the america-hate-thread. I need this because I'm angry that I'm 6' tall and not considered a giant.

Um. You could always drop the gym and study martial arts instead. Trust me when I say that sounding mean, while it can be effective in certain situations, isn't nearly as useful as actually being capable of crushing someone's face.

A good dojo/sensai will help give you the confidence you're lacking, keep you fit, and even teach you to defend yourself without actually injuring your opponent any more than necessary (which much of the time just amounts to wounded pride).

Well. Tell your parents that science and education has a much longer and more profitable future than being a gymnast. It may not be a good idea to just quit, it could lead to scholarships that help in college. But if you stand up for yourself, you might be able to re prioritize and get to spend more time on the geeky activities that you enjoy more.

Live in front of a PC, hemmed in by piles of plates and cups on one side and an amp and bass guitar on the other. I'm about 6'2, but I'm also an invisible pushover who lives in record shops and the internet.
