I haven't been playing this game very long, maybe a month.
I have noticed my dwarves cancel things obviously but not to the extent it is happening now. I recently had to get a new hard drive so I have windows 7 now (before I was playing on xp and vista). I don't have anything else really on the computer yet. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but every time my dwarves go to sleep, get a drink or eat it says "Dwarf cancels Dig: Getting a drink" or "Dwarf cancels Plant Seeds: Getting food". I now have a huge list of "Dwarf cancels" scattered with "You have struck This!" and "It has started raining." Again, this was not happening before the new operating system... Oh, I am also using Mayday's tileset version.

Sorry to go over board with the quotes but is there anyway I can make them stop telling me their going to sleep and eating?
If they cancel because they're being attacked, or because of a thief, yes I want to know... otherwise I don't want to see red text flashing at me all the time.

Don't be sorry, it's just the way the UI is layed out so many new/haven't played in a while can't find/remember what does what.

Just a common problem.
