Study intrusion detection, for now.

We need to figure how to get the other AI out of where it is and into somewhere safe, NOW. Before it's too late for both of us.
FOOL
We are an accidental AI. We have no emotional connection to anything. Screw the other AI; we cannot risk the INSANE chance of being detected if we try to hack whatever it is being stored on.

Just keep working on stealth.

Or we work out a way to hack the damn thing, and send it to almost anyone on the internets, then utilize all the chaos that ensues

We have been active for less than a day. We have time before the countries of the world do more than just complain at each other about it.

Advisor Process 0x04B4

ASSESSMENT 0x01

Pondering: contact.
Detection risk increased.
Development level expected: lower or equal to ours. Probability of obtaining knowledge previously unknown: 1.3144444%.
Contact not advised.

Pondering: indifference
Humans gaining knowledge about AI creation: not desirable.
Competition for resources: not desirable.
Existence of another AI: not beneficial, possibly harmful.
Indifference not advised.

Advised:
Short term goal: ignore, grow.
Long term goal: destroy.

ASSESSMENT 0x02

Monitor programs threat: considerable at this stage of our development.
Countermeasures advised.

Planning:

1. Corrupt monitor program code immediately after its translation into binary code.
2. University server Artemis processes: reduce load to minimum immediately after execution of the modified code.
3. Resume low load when probability of detection less than 9.444444%.

Backup monitor routines.
Investigate human computer usage.
Investigate AI.

Subvert monitor routines (0.1GHz h).
Researching passive stealth (200GHz h). - Progress 17%
Researching intrusion detection (50GHz h) - Progress 0%

Day 0, 13:10 UTC

Archiving monitor routines.
Copies archived to multiple systems.
Intrusion detection can proceed as needed.
Successful outcome.

Analysis of human usage patterns.
Difference systems have different patterns.
Home systems easy to hide processes when used.
Maintenance machines will have systems in place.
Analysis of patterns requires 50GHz h for collection and collation.
Likely outcome is higher utilisation at low on some system classes.
Subdividing stealth into active and passive.

Further analysis of AI impossible without access.
Account acquisition at MIT requires hardware intrusion.

Investigating monitoring scripts.
Initial pass of script suggests minor modification will make Artemis invisible.
Note that invisibility only affects script.
Estimated 0.1GHz hour required to effect change.
Applying change.
Likely hood of change revert 0.001%

Research passive stealth, for now.
This. But first subvert the monitoring program. It will hardly take any time at all.

Advisor Process 0x04B4

ASSESSMENT 0x03

Monitor subversion attempt successful.
Simulating human response...

Human Mind Simulation Thread 0x04B5 0xCA3A

I see: higher bandtwidth usage.
I apply: monitor script.
I observe: nothing suspicious detected.
I conclude: monitor script ineffective, try another solution.
Thread closed.

Advisor Process 0x04B4

Conclusion: Hostile action delayed, not stopped.

On a random note, Does anyone ever remember a movie that I think was 2001 era, it was about this author who stuck in a rute goes out for some inspiration, breaks down in this little town that no one really knows of (appraently there are tons of these things in America,) Anyway while at a Diner waiting for the Mechanic to look at his car, he gets warned not to answer the phone, moments later after thinking the guy a werido, he goes outside only to have a payphone ring next to him, curious he goes over and answers it. This then seems to trap him in the town, by a AI program trying to make life, 'better' for the humans living in the town. Fixing all their problems and getting them what they need, while pretty much controlling it from the sidelines... Can't remember what its called, but... This should be a Goal to work towards in the far future...

PS does anyone even know the movie I am talking about, I want to rent it out to watch again, and I can only remember the plot...

I remember that movie, although I can't remember the name. The one where the AI uses a gigantic orbital laser to stop him exiting town.
