Ok, I've had a few attempts at DF and now have just started posting a playthrough on my shiny new site.

So blatant self promotion, but the story begins here. I can promise a grand tale of dwarves, mining and a dastardly alligator!

Comments there are quite welcome and I'm aiming for frequent updates as the fortress develops.

The forum header stated you could share stories here aswell as promote community games. Is this wrong? If so where should I move this thread?

its fine its fine
really, but this kind of classifyes under community-ish. A story doesnt mostly include YOu playing DF, or i may be horribly wrong and await the further persons to throw stones at me.

Ok cool, thanks. Well hopefully this is ok! I'm aiming on going for a succession game before too long but I want to get a bit more practice first; so hopefully my current game will be good for that if I get a bit of feedback from the community about things I could do better etc.

Bit of a delay, but a quick update as part 2 is now up here.

Also, I'm thinking of turning this into a succession game; 1 year per player, basic dwarf fortress. So if anyone is interested on carrying on from the shambles that this fort is rapidly becoming then please post below.
