Fire, who else loves it?
« on: February 10, 2010, 07:39:22 pm »

For hahas, I embark on a human town, with ocean, 4 levels of soil, and a magma pipe.  Elevation = 0.  This place is GORGEOUS.

A Kangaroo comes out of nowhere, pisses off a resident fire imp.  I now have every single human on the map dead.  And my poor dwarves are stuck hauling for the next 3 years.  Hope no orcs get attracted before I have time to lock everything behind walls!

Love this game.

I'd do that, but I don't think dwarves have words for "fair" or "logical".

You do not understand the ways of Toady One. He is not a business, he's just a guy trying to make a fun game. He's invited people to come along and experience the journey with him (and help him test it out as he goes along). At the end of the day, I don't think his main goal is to sell Dwarf Fortress, its just to create the best game possible.

i currently have two captured fire-imps.

they are being installed in my countess quarters, and being released just as soon as i have the cage traps installed to re-capture them.

then its going to be my count.  Ive had to make him an EXTRA FUCKING DINING ROOM FOR ALL THE DAMN GOLD THRONES that he wants.  The countess has an obsession with having "make sterling silver items" on my nobels page at all times as well.

damn, i should have used a sterling silver and a gold cage.  oh well.

the is my first deliberate attempt to kill the nobels, lets hope its not too much "fun"
