How do I install mods?

I have no idea how to install any of the mods, I can't find any tutorials and I was just wondering if someone could help me out

This site is a good choice of a place to go to pick various mods you might want to try.  http://dffd.wimbli.com/  Also http://dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Utilities has various interesting things listed, there's some cross over.


You didn't mention any specific mod you were interested in, but a great many of them include instructions of how to install them either on the download page (example Dig Deeper's page http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=980) or in a readme text file when you unzip the download.

I recommend you look over some of the mods and pick one you'd like to try, try to follow the instructions, and ask for help if you get stuck.  Here's to great fun!

Specifically ranting Rodent's Graphical Overhaul, I don't think it comes with any instructions...
