I blame everyone who had a killing role who didn't do anything Night 5. Why the FUCK did you guys not do anything? It was plainly obvious that not doing anything would ring a bell, yet you idiots (I'm looking especially hard at you, ExKirby) chose to do nothing over and over and over when AT ANY TIME, randomly killing would of given us valuable information.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

A very old statement in Mafiascum said that a doctor's meta is actually almost in sync with the mafia meta: passive and self-preserving.  The idea was that doctors tend to end up not only scared of the town lynching them if they look too scummy but also the scum NKing them for being too useful.  Meanwhile, they feel emboldened in the night since they can potentually save someone.  As such, the urge is to stay in the back (WAY BACK) not being noticed and look for the person that most needs to live.  The statement goes 'if you think someone is mafia, they are probably the doctor'.

I'm guessing that now that we have a half-decent day game, the Doctor = scum signs are now showing up.

Also note that Intu is rather new (thus a few newtells will still exist, though they should be passing away now) and lurked so hard that he was almost force replaced.

In truth, lurkers in general did hurt you guys.  Also I had a LOT of situations where a person didn't send in their action.

I will argue a bit though to Mr.person.  The only person that didn't do anything was ExKirby and, unless he decided to hit Leafsnail (and no one, NO ONE suspected Leafsnail of anything) you wouldn't have gained much more information and Day 6 was the day that you needed to do things PERFECTLY to win.  The game effectively was won D6 once you guys agreed to daykill Vector instead of Leafsnail

Go ahead and scan me in this one and BYOR 1.  The results could be interesting... or maybe it's just that playing a role based on a female animu character emboldens me?  I dunno :P.

Also, this proves that I really, really, REALLY hate RedWarrior0.
Webadict, you needed RW0 to dayvig me.  You can't really blame him for anything... I mean, if you had said "Kill Leafsnail" and he didn't, maybe you could, but he was just following our orders.

No, I mean he was gone a vast majority of the Day.

Because he lurks hardcore.
Not sure how that made such a difference, though.

There's a big reason why the town is winning more lately: lurkers really HURT the town bad.

In truth, this game ran a good deal like older games of several months ago: people would start hunting, the a few people would lurk.  The town would notice the lurkers, fuss about them since they can't get a read on them, then slowly go into lurk mode themselves.  Even if the town comes back later and you replace the lurkers or get them going again something is..just.. lost, and the town eventually loses.


I felt that the game NEEDED a 100% active cast, so I plopped the A rank, but meh.  If nothing else, I can go update the grades accordingly.

One thing to note about Bellsounder: the bells were just a cover.  The REAL game was really to be named something similar to Endless Life or the like.  The entire reason for the bells was so that I could hide the entire death/revival system behind a red herring.  It's similar to how KWN:DE had italics and all of the roles you want but the method to win had little to do with either. :P

THAT SAID

The mechanics can actually WORK in two styles:

1. The bells: just create a new mechanic for how the bells/town/mafia operate and there you go.  In essence, the bells are really just an in-game timer in a way.

2. The death/revive can STILL work in a game, similar to how Dephy works.  Everyone would start the game knowing they need to all kill themselves, and that there's ONE way for them to do it, but the mafia would throw WIFOM and fakeclaims to stall the town.  Just set the game to end in, say, 3 days exactly and there you go.

I only ask that I be allowed to help with balancing when it's being developed: "not balanced but crazy/fun" won't do here.  Consider me silly for trying to protect  a brand but there you go.

@web: I know. Each of the past 3 weekends has had me on a trip. And I do get rather little time on the computer, which is why I'm mostly avoiding playing for a while.
