'i' command...
« on: November 20, 2007, 05:37:00 am »

For ignore! When you don't want your dwarves to go batshit crazy over the monsters you've got stuck in your dungeon, and just want them to ignore it. Like the 'd' and 'f' commands, it'd force your dwarves to, or in this case not to, do something.

Of course, this would be overrided by stuff like having eyeballs being put out by fireballs, but not everything's perfect, eh?

Also would be nice:

Ignore Area
Dwarves ignore everything within the designation: creatures, items, materials, etc.

Being able to ignore a monster the same way you can forbid an item would be useful.  You can already ignore areas (pretty much) with zone designation.

Having a command to ignore a monster, or to flag one so every military dwarf in range aim for it first would be ace.

I had hard times, even death, because of stupid dwarves who got themselves between two agressive mobiles. All the dwarf had to do was to stop running back and forth and run to the side instead but he was way too stupid for that...

Ahhhh! A goblin! *runs*
Ahhhh! A cougar! *runs*
Ahhhh! The goblin! *runs*
Ahhhh! The cougar! *runs*
Ahhhh! *gets the sword of the goblin in the chest and finnaly die. Much to my content.*

You can forbid items in a zone, hit i, f, then drag over the area you want to forbid items

then hit d, o and r and drag over the same area to forbid anybody from walking there
