Hmm.  It's true that allowing traders to bring stacks of 10 gems would be a pretty simple change.  I'm confused and I don't know how I feel about this.  If they brought un-cut gems, it wouldn't help much because cutting them would make them all different again.  But if they were all pre-cut, then you could just use them like that.  Convenient.

Plants, sadly, only form a stack when multiple units are harvested at a time.  You never combine two Plump Helmet [2] and get a Plump Helmet [4].  Stacks are only created AS stacks.  Same with coins, you start out with Money [100] and it goes down from there as it's subdivided.

Now, I know lots of people would find a way to appreciate if gems came out in clusters.  For example, you mine out a square of tube opals, and you get Rough Tube Opals [6].  That would be neat.  Of course, again...the way it works now, you'd end up with six different Tube Opals [1] as output.  And that's really how it should be, because each of them has to get cut independently, and can get different quality.

(I think that mining thing will get its own suggestion.)

Once restacking is in, though, then by all means..!
