Using my own version of nil's Relentless Assault mod, I embarked on top of a frogman village next to an arctic ocean. My embark was 6*6 and the village was 3*3.

As soon as the screen loaded, I got told that a section of the cavern had collapsed, and the screen zoomed to three quaint seaside houses that had apparently been built on top of the ocean.

Other documented bugs involving collapse-on-embark all seem to be terrain features such as chasms or volcanoes,

I suppose complicating factors could be
(a) the heavily modded game,
(b) the 6*6 embark on the 3*3 village,
(c) the fact that it was beside arctic ocean. If it freezes at some point in the year, the game may have decided that it was a stable place to build on. I haven't been able to find out if it does freeze, because I got sieged by frogmen in my first summer with four undead mammoths on the map.

Or that may be a terrain bug again.

EDIT: When I reclaimed, as soon as it loaded, the tables and chairs of the buildings that had fallen were placed in midair. They instantly fell into the water. I couldn't tell if they were constructed, and fell apart, or had simply been placed there as if there was a floor there.

This didn't happen to any other items.

Oh, thanks. Damn, searching for 'embark', 'collapse', and 'cave in' didn't find any of those.
