Is there an issue running DF with the .sh script?

The script works fine. But if you want to make a .deb use, for instance, this program:

Have fun! :)

Why would you use the Wine version when DF runs natively anyway?

I got Linux like three weeks ago and didn't bother to check.

In my experience, getting the native version to work on a 64 bit install is incredibly dodgy. I can't speak for the 32 bit installs, the only one I have is my Eee PC and playing DF on it has to be like pulling teeth.

Yer my Eee is only getting around 25fps which is a little slow to my mind. I didn't have any problems when I was running a 64bit desktop though, just followed the steps from the first 40dx thread.

The native version works wonderfully on my 4 year old dual core (running 32 bit Ubuntu). Not sure why anyone would need a .deb, you just have to unzip the download to install...
