Is it as mind-numbingly boring as 2001?

I can see where you're coming from with this one. And while I could answer you "Not nearly as boring", the best parts of the movie are whenever it tickles your inner Sf-nerd, so if you didn't get any of that from "2001", "Moon" will probably appear just about average to you.

If it was the english version, were Blackwoods last words before his execution "Death is only the beginning" (like in the lame german version) or the latin equivalent "Mors principium est".

Ive recently got into Hongkong cinema
watched - Infernal Affairs and Hard boiled

Can any one recommend any good hongkong cinema films? 80sness and excession are good.

Um.

Titanic was boring, and poorly paced.

Up Up and Away was an okay play off of Sky High plot, but not everyone could act in it. Its a made for TV movie.

Halo: Legends was okay.

Luputa: Castle in the Sky was very nice.

Its a poor man animatrix. It also pretty decent sci fi, but a fan of the halo franchise would get more out of it. Though I dont think a ten year old apperiacate Halo narratives, and most of the stories in Legends, arent meant for that age range.

Hmmm, recent movies...

I liked Avatar. Although the 3D aspect was a bit distracting. "OOh, look a snowflake"

Zombieland was great, even my gf, who hates zombiefilms and my love for them, liked it.
