MayDay tileset question
« on: January 18, 2010, 07:53:57 pm »

Ok well i have only used the tile set once or twice, and I've tried to get my friend into this game the only problem is he finds it boring. So I wanted to introduce him to some hilarity. Does anyone know what the adamantium square looks like in the over world map when you are choosing a location for maydays tile set?

By default, it isn't shown at all. You'll have to go to your init file and make it show "other features" in the site finder. You might be aware of this, but I'm just making sure.

As to what it looks like, I can't remember the exact icon, but it's light blue, so you should be able to figure it out.

it's a light blue circle with a few spaces in it.
The circle with a few holes is used for three things actually.
light blue is HFS, dark blue is an UG river, and red is a magma pipe.

I too have a question about the mayday tileset.

In mayday18 (40d11), there was the option to have the maydayMAX, maydayMIN, and maydayMIX, and choosing the MAX allowed for squared walls, whereas MIX allowed for beveled edge /slant cornered walls.

In mayday 21 (40d16), this seems impossible, standing at slanted/beveled walls only.

Is this actually how it is?

Addtitionally, the sign is a pale blue £. As below... My mistake >_<

WRONG....

The light blue thing that you are describing is an underground pool, dark blue is river, light red is magma pool and dark red is magma pipe...

See the spoiler in the above post for the proper icon.
