[40d16] Music cutting out

Okay, so yesterday I downloaded a music pack, and it worked perfectly with no problems at all (The pack was Tairon's Cycle). Today, it seems to cut out at random, going silent with no warning at all. I tried removing that file and using the original music track, but it, too, cuts out eventually. No errors occur, and the game continues normally, but the music does not come back on. I have tried playing other games, and they have no sound problems whatsoever.

What might be causing this? I installed a new case fan for my computer, might this be the problem?
