Not a serial kind a psychopath, but the more common diminished empathy centers of the brain kinda sociopath.

But honestly his show Ghost Whisper, his almost melodramatic, poorly written show is on a dozen channels, its quite possible to watch 10 hours of Ghost Whisper a day.

Hes not as bad as Sylvia Brown, he hasn't started his own religion, but he seems to want to be.

And to be fair, the lair that is the inspiration and part of the shows production for Medium is also a sell out and probably a sociopath but I am not as familiar with her actions as I am with James. That doesn't get my wrath as bad, as its a much better show and isn't on 12 different channels +10 times a day.

Yes, people may have issues when someone passes away, and yes, those issues may be impossible to resolve, but why on earth is there a woman that claims to be able to do so, and on national television too? By what standard is she going on, and how do we know we aren't being conned? Surely there must be an easier way of doing so than going through all this trouble.

Ghost Whisper is a drama, but it was pitched by James Van Praagh who is an active 'technical consultant' and has some executive producer oversight to the show. It based on his lies as to how this psychicness work as well as the afterlife.

As is Medium, which is supposed to be based more directly on her life, sans the self deception, delusion and or blatant lying to officer of the court and law. I'm not as familiar with the 'psychic' that Medium is based on, technical for, and possibly other producer oversights.

My step-aunt, uncle, and grandmother all visited a psychic, who claimed he saw an Indian chief in their past, wearing a full feathered headdress.  They ate it up, because my family has native American in it if you go back far enough.

Of course, they're cherokee, who didn't wear huge feathered headdresses.  Don't tell them that, they're busy seeking guidance from the indian chief in their past.
