Add a civ of Ironmen whose bodies are actually iron, filled with magma.

If you checked the doc posted on pg one, it says that toady has made the megabeasts significantly stronger.

Was gonna say... w/o fireimmune it would cook itself in any secondary fires it created.

As for what I'll do, that will probably depend on FPS, which for me is the biggest factor in what I can build. But whatever it is, I would bet it will end in Fun.

Firstly, I'll explore the new underground a bit and post my shenanigans on some of the other forums I go to.

Secondly, I'll begin work on my upcoming total conversion mod. I've been doing some of the preliminary planning (redundant?), and it looks like there'll be 12-15 races and... whoah, 200-300 creatures? Might have to pare that number down a bit.

Yah I did read through the doc, it all sounds fantastic but its hard to know how it will really all work together.
Really what I want for megabeasts is for 10 legendary everything (shield, armor, wrestle, weapon) warriors in good steel to go up against one and not be guaranteed to win. At least not without losses.

I'm going to play humies for the best castle fortress seen to date. It'll follow proper social structure and all, and be of a much grander scale than Dukes even.

I am going to find the most boring embark area I can, and then build the most mundane fortress I can.

And I will still be massively overwhelmed.

Aside from running the challenge above, I have two plans.

1) A dwarven reconstruction of the Forbidden City. I like above-ground fortresses. It'll be massive. My computer will disown me. Finding the right site will probably take ages.
2) A new Morul-like project. Different, grander in some ways, less so in others. Should be rather challenging from certain standpoints.

On topic: I saw someone make a model of the world hanging over an ocean in Minecraft. Something like that just may be possible in the new DF, what with the essentially limitless z-levels. I'm also imagining a city built on towers 100 z-levels above the ground, entirely cut off from civilization, connecting by floating bridges, nothing but blue for hundreds of tiles, with floating gardens, lakes, volcanoes...
