Yeah but there is no "return to main menu" once you are at the site finder. You have to embark and do all that stuff. I crash out at the site finder, manually delete the folders and reload.

Actually, this is an issue Toady supposedly tackled in this release.
Namely, he tried to make underground more interesting, so that you don't have to rely on magma pipe to have magma,

So this is still a good idea, bu supposedly not a important as before.
