How do I convert my mac mod to PC Vista?
« on: January 12, 2010, 11:14:38 pm »

I heavily modded the objects folder in my DF game on my mac, and now I have a PC Vista.
I saved my objects folder on email and tried to plug it into the PC game, but it seems that the data pack has a separate object folder that I can't edit. And my game doesn't work with the mod.

What am I doing wrong?

Is your game in somewhere that Vista actually allows you to edit (ie, your user folder, as opposed to Program Files or wherever)?

There should be no raw compatibility issues whatsoever between the Win and Mac versions of DF.

Yeah, DF has problems with Vista's ultra-paranoid security when it is in the Program Files folder.

If you can't edit it, it's either not uncompressed (lol) or in Program Files.
