The only remaining important difference is that Dig Deeper orcs use crucible steel. which isn't available to Orc Mod orcs. Dunno what the material differences are on that though.

Well, that could be the difference. Could certainly make up the DAMBLOCK and put them ahead on weapon damage since primary/secondary attacks are infrequently used with orcs.
