Im wondering if there is ANY way do dig out map border tiles since i need do make a road going thru the mountain since its the only way do accses my fort for traders.

Besides, it's somehow enjoyable to think of groundhogs stacked to the very top of a cage and flooding out to kill.

That won't work as just outside the map edge there will be.. more mountain. Caravans can come in from some pretty odd places but they cannot move through mountain. And no you can't dig out the side, you can carve out fortifications on the edge tiles but you cannot dig them out.

well i found a small opening in the mountain just big enough for traders do the tunnel is going there
