Check your legends list. Open the bronze collosus' page, and then look for the last time it says: "Bronze Collosus settled in (cave)"

Go find out where that cave is, and hey presto!

Also, track down dwarf kings or queens or elven druids. Both of these are likely to give out megabeast quests.

Also, ask the citizens of the region you are in. Many will tell you where the megabeasts of the region reside and mark it into your location list in your SHIFT Q menu.

You probably should end worldgen within the first few decades since Bronze Collossi don't survive very long. Heck, Hydras have a better chance of surviving than them. In my current forts world, there is one Hydra that managed to survive through 300 years.

I have yet to see a Bronze Collossus survive worldgen beyond 200 years in the legends, most die within the first few decades.

Thief:"Quiet kitty, Qui-"
Cat:"THIEF! Protect the hoard from the skulking filth!"
The resulting party killed 20 dwarves, crippled 2 more and the remaining 9 managed to get along and have a nice party.

i blame the sever on break tag.
it basically screws them over when ever they get a broken limb.

It's rather ridiculous that you can punch a collosi's arm off. You think that it might dent (light grey), bend, (brown), begin to fall apart (yellow), become utterly mangled (red) and then ultimately fall to huge shreds of bronze (dark grey).

Its a cool mechanic, its more the fact that the defualt colossi are weak. When they can take more damage, its one of the few weaknesses that balances them versus other creatures.

They are the only megabeast that does not breath, bleed, feel pain, exert, immunity to stuckins and stun and has got great regeneration. That balances them out.
