Music sync for Android
« on: January 22, 2013, 02:07:52 pm »

So I quite recently aquired a Galaxy Note 2 after having been an apple user for my entire smartphone time, and the lack of iTunes is seriously putting the cramp on my style.

I just can't find a good program to get my music, video and photos from the phone easily and organized. I have tried some and completely passed over others. For example Doubletwist which does not even have support for the Galaxy Note 2 using a simple usb connections instead only working by wifi. Googles own has the annoying online, everything is stored on the cloud, bullshit. Samsungs Kies is apparently a bugridden mess.

I need a program that can do what iTunes did for my iPhone, sync music, modify playlists and tracks so I get them just the way I like them, sync movies, pictures and preferrably take backups of apps, contacts etc. And most importantly it must be stored locally on my machine and not on some server somewhere.

So what are you using?

Are you sure google play isnt fine. You can download music from that. Also if you have to just download music from itunes on your pc then transfer it over to your phone via usb. You either have to make the usb debugging is on or off in developer options... I cant remeber.

Also if you can spare  $20 then go and buy a blu-tooth attachment for your pc. Then pair your phone to your pc. Download your music from itunes then go to your phones menu on your pc and go to send files to phone towards the bottom. Then browse to your music folder and highlight everything. It might just take a little while. I also reccomend that you download a different music player since the junk one that comes with the phone isn't that great. I use cloudskipper which works fine and there is also rocket music player. Use whatever you want.
