Sometimes, the Random Number Generator will give you weird or blah names. Sometimes, they are so bad it is funny; but most of the time they are just mundane.

But for my newest fortress, with the goal of building a temple to the HFS in a big chamber, supported only by natural HFS pillars from the ceiling, I wanted a great name. I custom-built the fortress name: "WorshipsDemons." The group name I thought I'd play with. I look at the initial name: The Inks of Boating or something like that. So I press the "regenerate" key. THE FIRST NAME that comes up:

"The Portal Of Blood"

Best. Name. Ever.

Thread Necromancy? What is? Sorry for raising the dead, but between this and making a new thread, I believe this to be the lesser evil.

SO! I'm trying my hand at defending my fortress with military strength only for a change, and I'm enjoying how my brave hammer-dorfs are earning their RNG names, not really seeing anything cool, until I come across the most appropriate name I've ever had:

Rakust Muzishlokum Ensebatost Kast: Translated Rakust Martyrspear the Basic Bravery of Genius


Now here's the question: Do I dare give him a spear?

Hmm.

Ouch. Such scorn contained in so few words, and during a season of good cheer and charity.

What can I say? I did three searches and "Funniest Names" didn't come up. Such is the tangled nature of very active boards I suppose.
