I made a perpetual motion powerplant for a pump stack too recently. Didn't finish the stack, and as usual my designs are more about nice layout than maximum mathmatical efficiency, but here it is (Z0, Z1, Z2):

Thanks a bunch, this is now powering my mist-hall generator. :D

Thanks for all the input everyone, and very nice design Zeg!

Since I have a brook, I finally just opted to use the brook flow exploit to get power for my project, but I'll have to save this thread for next time.  It seems half the fun is powering the "fun-on lever"...
