Import request screen: highlight preferred materials
« on: December 18, 2009, 06:45:55 pm »

When telling a trade liaison which items you'd like to import, it'd be nice if it would highlight material types (blocks of metal, stone, etc) which one of your dwarves have a preference for.  Even better if it would list which dwarves likle it and how much of it (if any) you have in stock.

That would be nice.
But what i want is for when it shows up "is this correct" or w/e.
The second one where you make sure you posted the things you want are in another menu so you can easily re check if youve placed all the things you want or if you have other things there aswell.

As your population increases, this will rapidly become unmanageable. Some system of reminding you to import kaolinite for your baron or whatever would be nice, though.

Since the next version will be adding more nobles (fortress champion comes to mind), it would be useful for it to mark materials that we can import that we might need for mandates.

Also, currently nobles only notice if you produce items for their mandates. It would be nice if they recognized imports as well.
