Next Release: Finder?

So, anyone know how the next releases Site Finder will work?


Like, will it have multiple sites? Will it be more efficient?


And just what features will be searched for? I mean, apparently magma and the such will be pretty much on all the bottom layers of all maps (right?). So... Yeah.

Just wondering.

It wouldn't surprise me if the finder's out of commission for the next few releases, solely because updating it would use time better spent and because Toady has designed the underground to make everywhere have something interesting, thus making the finder somewhat obsolete.

It's one of the remaining hanging issues.  The easiest way will be to cut things out.  The underground is interesting enough now that hopefully people won't care so much about using the site-finder for that sort of thing.
