Further mechanics for weight
« on: October 07, 2007, 08:20:00 am »

So I was amused just now as I watched my dwarves treck their way across a frozen lake after I got the 'it is summer' message. And I came upon a thought. What if the weight of dwarves and what they're carrying is taken into effect on the terrain they're under? A heavily burdened dwarf toppling down a hillside. Sinking into mud. Or the afore mentioned thin-ice-over-lake-while-dwarf-drags-elephant scenario

Not to mention the dining hall that previously managed to stay up by itself caving in because the trade goods warehouse on the floor above got a little too full...

Water flows on upper levels could cave in lower levels.

Oh definitely. And water should also dissolve rock salt walls, causing even more chaos.

We could recreate Lake Peigneur.
