The FPS drop is present with a completely idle population, everyone chilling in the meeting area. So I don't think it's pathfinding. While pathfinding does trigger a speed hit, it's independent of my base, idle FPS.

You should still consider adding some high-traffic zones through the quarry, to save on pathfinding when in does happen. But yeah, if everyone's idle and you're still getting problems, that's kinda weird.

How much stone do you have lying around?

10,000 stone, in between dump-smash cycles. Also 4000 blocks (almost all of them in constructions) and about 1000 bars of various sorts, and negligible quantities of other items.

EDIT: I should mention that all of that stone is currently quantum dumped on four tiles. Could that be causing problems?

If it is then i best stop quantum dumping and leave the damn stone where it is...

I'm pretty sure haveing tiles hidden or unhidden cahnges very few, or my pc would have suicided when I used reveal.exe, but the fps remained stable.
