Empty Quivers (Solved)

The goblins are coming.  Half my marksdwarves have empty quivers and show no interest in reloading.  How do I get them to pick up some bolts and start shooting?

Edit: Stationing a marksdwarf directly on a stockpile of ammo works really well.

Well ensure that you indeed have bolts that are not forbidden.  Try view the squad and taking them off off duty for a bit.

From the description of the event, I think that your copy of Dwarf Fortress was on drugs when this happened. That's surely the only logical explanation for a human werewolf with deadly farts dying from it's own excrement after slaughtering some goblins comrades.
