Lemme guess -- you were digging out a boat moat and forgot to make certain that your channeling designations were well clear of the fort one level lower down?

Edit: moats are not boats! Whups.

You failed miserably at making sure water wouldn't get into your fort? Your well turn sentient and is trying to take over your fort?! It's infested with carp?!!?! Who mutated into carp with hands?!!?!?!?!? And they lust for dwarven blood and booze?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! OH NOES!!!

Nope. A moat. also had forgot to close my floodgate!.

Also a nice orc siege came by at the same time. my wrestlers thought it would be a good idea to fight on the bridge over the river.

The best part is how that cloud of miasma at the top of the first picture looks kind of like a skull or an evil spirit...
