[Shurikane]

In preparation for an onslaught, I drafted a large portion of my fort, equipped them and set them to training.

Among them was a dwarf who had previously done some crossbow work.  He became a crossbowdwarf but I changed my mind along the way and decided to make him a wrestler instead.

Everything was going fine at this point.  He dropped his crossbow and quiver, went and picked up a shield along with some extra pieces of armor to complete his set, and returned to the barracks.

It's been two years now and he has yet to train in wrestling.

The rest of his squad, meanwhile, became champions in wrestling, legendary shield users, and expert armor users.  Despite being part of an off-duty squad, healthy and equipped properly, he hasn't done any wrestling at all, and is virtually at recruit-level in terms of skills.

Why?

Are you sure he doesn't have any nervous injuries?

If not, I've heard of soldiers glitching like that before. Usually you can get them to 'reset' by undrafting and then redrafting them, maybe with a delay of a few seconds.
