DF crammed into Top Left
« on: November 22, 2009, 07:03:27 pm »

Well, Ive downloaded one of the Graphis Sets and right now...in full screen mode, its crammed my entire game window into the upper left quarter of the screen. I have tried everything I can to get it to stretch and fill the whole screen, but cant seem to get it to do it. Any ideas?

Have you tried using the scroll wheel on the mouse? Sometimes that'll resize the display.

I dunno. The only thing I can suggest is to check your init files and make sure you installed correctly. Savegames can be transferred easily, and reinstalling is pretty fast, so you could try reinstalling without terribly much trouble.

Have you tried adjusting your Display resolution? That will tell you what res it's TRYING to run in, and you might be able to edit the init file to bump it up to your working res.

Ive been working with the init file to no avail. Ive turned of the black filler in order for it to stretch, that doesnt work, I have tried higher and lower resolutions...didnt work. Ive tried everything I can think of that is that simple.

Which Graphics set are you using?... I use Mayday. What desktop resolution are you running at?

Did you set the init file to that res? I saw two places in the file you posted where you should change the numbers.

[FULLSCREENX:1280]
[FULLSCREENY:1024]

To:

[FULLSCREENX:1680]
[FULLSCREENY:1050]

And:

[GRAPHICS_FULLSCREENX:1280]
[GRAPHICS_FULLSCREENY:1024]

To:

[GRAPHICS_FULLSCREENX:1680]
[GRAPHICS_FULLSCREENY:1050]

... or just change your desktop res to match Mayday's 1280 x 1024.

If that doesn't work then put it back the way it was, and try setting this:

[FULLGRID:80:64]

to this:

[FULLGRID:105:65]

Im not quite sure how I have done it, but, its working now. My resolutions were already set right, the INI I posted was the wrong one. Sorry about that. But, its working now...200 worlds already rejected though. :P
